I underwent femto lasik 3 weeks back. After surgery i had 6/6 vision on both eyes when checked. But my right eye was more clear and left eye felt blurry and double vision soo i couldnt read letters and all with left eye alone... But after 2 weeks, it has improved very well.. Now its better. The blurriness and diplopia of left eye is healed and vision is very well similar to right eye after being prescribed the lubricant drops six times a day... Maybe it was because of dry eye and my left eye correction power was higher. I think it takes time for our eyes to adjust...

I'd be curious to know what type of IOL she had put in. I would also be interested to hear from people who received different types of lenses and hearing their experiences with them. I have to have cataract surgery and I don't know which type of lens I should go for.

Have you had your surgery yet? If so, which lens option did you get? I am having surgery very soon and would really like to hear a bit about someone's real experience and not a generic "It was great" or "It was the best thing ever". I wish to know things about how well you see with intermediate distance and how did certain visions (such as your near or far) change after surgery.

    • @johngreig2824

@@rspen2142 I have now had my surgeries. My intention was to get a Clareon Vivity in my dominant eye and a Clareon Panoptix in my non dominant eye, but in Australia, the Clareon Vivity was not yet available. I didn't want the Acrysof IQ Vivity because of potential for glistenings, and with the advice of my surgeon I ended up getting Clareon Panoptix Toric lenses in each eye. The operation was painless as was the recovery. My vision is nearly perfect in both eyes during the day. I can see we'll at near, intermediate and distance. Colo(u)rs returned, and I can see each individual leaf on trees. At night, immediately after the surgery the starbursts, around streetlights were massive. The radius of some were half the height of the pole. I also had glare and halos. Over time, they seem to have diminished in both size and intensity. Still not ideal but better than going blind. I miss being on a hill at night and looking at all the pretty lights. Now all the lights have halos. Had I not had astigmatism I would look into a new lens. I think it's called Puresee but considering I needed toric lenses, I still think I chose the right lenses available for me. The weirdest thing is the spiderweb pattern that I sometimes see when the light comes in from the side. It makes taking the wheelie bin out interesting on bin night. :) Overall, I am very satisfied with my Clareon Panoptix lenses for my circumstances and vision goals. If I were a pilot that flys at night or a perfectionist who doesn't mind glasses I'd think twice... but for me... they're pretty awesome. On day to day items there is no small print I have yet encountered that I can't read. I haven't needed glasses for anything. I can drive at night with no problems. Even though I have optical effects around lights, the beautify thing is I know the real lights are in the centre. Prior to my new lenses I was seeing 11 different lights for each actual light and the real lights were on the left of the arc.

I'm 50 years old and chose PanOptix to get out of my progressive glasses. I had my right eye done on 10/3/22 and am now seeing very well in this eye. I choose to postpone getting my left eye done due to experiencing "halos" at night and I'm currently wearing a contact in my left eye corrected for distance. The halos seem to be getting better but were overwhelming when driving down major city streets due to traffic lights, head lights, street lights. It's amazing being able to see all distances without glasses. I'm hopeful the halos will improve and I'll feel comfortable in getting my left eye done.
